Craig "Sawman" Sawyer

Veterans for Child Rescue (V4CR) NonProfit Partner

Craig “Sawman” Sawyer is a distinguished military veteran, highly experienced in high-stakes security and dedicated advocate against child trafficking. Born and raised near Houston, Texas, Craig began his tactical career in the U.S. Marine Corps before transitioning to the U.S. Navy, where he joined the elite SEAL Teams. His extensive service includes time with SEAL Team One, the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU), and the Federal Air Marshal Service, where he excelled as both an Agent and Supervisor.

During his military career, Craig gained critical combat experience in Desert Shield and Desert Storm, earning recognition for “Heroic Service.” His expertise extended beyond the battlefield into high-threat mobile security, where he served as an Agent In Charge (AIC). In this role, he was responsible for the security of high-profile dignitaries and U.S. officials, including Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Ambassador John Negroponte.

Craig’s commitment to protecting others led him to roles in film and television as a technical advisor and personal security trainer. His diverse background also includes significant contributions to Federal Law Enforcement and private security contracting.

In April 2017, Craig founded Veterans For Child Rescue (V4CR) in response to the alarming issue of child trafficking in America. The organization aims to expose and eradicate this heinous crime through investigative documentaries and public education. Craig’s drive to address child trafficking was profoundly personal after his daughter was tragically held hostage and sexually assaulted. This harrowing experience intensified his resolve and deepened his family’s commitment to advocating for survivors and improving aftercare and rehabilitation services.

The release of the “Contraland” documentary in 2019 marked a significant milestone in Craig’s efforts. The film, which aired to 90 million households in the US and Canada on DayStar Network, provides an unflinching look at child trafficking, featuring real sting operations, survivor testimonies, and expert interviews.

Craig remains a vocal advocate, using his platform to raise awareness through media appearances, interviews, podcasts, and public speaking engagements. With over 200 interviews reaching tens of millions globally, he continues to educate and empower communities to protect children and combat trafficking.

Craig Sawyer’s unwavering dedication and extensive experience underscore his vital role in both national security and child protection efforts.
